Rochester Metro Fire

Thanks for taking the time to visit the site and reading about My Feed. My Scanner Feed covers the City of Rochester and Monroe County area of NY State. The feed also contains several of the many Fireground Channels which can be locked out during a Major Incident.

The Rochester Fire Department consists of 7 Engine Companies and 9 Midi & Quint Companies, 1 Heavy Rescue and 1 Salvage Unit (The Protectives) along with 3 Battalion Chiefs and a Line Deputy Chief.

The Rochester Fire Department recently implimented a New Radio Policy. Emergency Calls are Dispatched on Channel 1 154.130, while enroute to an Incident apparatus switches to Channel 2 154.250, during most working fire the Incident Command will request a "Restricted Alarm" this secures Channel 2 for fireground ops and Alarm will be Dispatched on Channel 1 until the restricted alarm
